### Must have:
### - We require a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; a masters degree is preferred. - We are looking for at least seven years of experience in automotive or comparable electrical systems, including HV/LV battery systems, BMS, BDU, PDU, or CAN communications. - Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, and the full product design lifecycle is required. - Hands-on lab experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, HiPot testers, LCR meters, CANalyzer/CANoe, and DAQ systems is needed. - We require experience with WCCA, SPICE, CAD/CAE, and electrical design tools. - Preferred experience includes Ansys, Mathcad, MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, LTspice, and Altium. - Preferred familiarity with requirements management and systems engineering tools and methods such as Jama, DOORS, Sparx Enterprise Architect, MBSE, and SysML. - Preferred experience using AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude. - Preferred experience working with high-voltage lithium-ion battery systems.
Responsibilities:

- We lead the development of battery electrical requirements, architecture, and analysis using an interdisciplinary approach. - We define subsystem requirements, establish design guidelines, and translate them into architecture and schematics. - We create external interface specifications and support electrical integration across systems. - We facilitate cross-functional electrical engineering meetings and coordinate issue resolution between customers and design teams. - We support lead systems engineering and assist design release engineers with reviews covering EMC, grounding and bonding, shielding, harness routing, HV/LV separation, connector selection, isolation, and integration. - We evaluate electrical failure modes in DFMEA and contribute to functional safety analysis. - We develop subsystem integration test plans and drive prototype testing for EMC, communications, HV/LV power distribution, and BMS peripheral systems. - We partner with validation engineers, suppliers, external labs, and design teams to resolve power, control, communication, and EMC compliance issues. - We review BMS schematics, layouts, hardware, controls, communications, and WCCA results. - We track, prioritize, and help resolve top technical risks and known electrical issues. - We troubleshoot battery pack problems and refine requirements and engineering guidance based on lessons learned. - We perform model-based analysis using CAD, SPICE, and CAE tools. - We support validation planning, testing, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. - We assist with end-of-line electrical inspection requirements. - We comply with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies, processes, and procedures. - We carry out additional duties as assigned and maintain dependable attendance.
