The Shipping Room Operator selects products to be loaded onto trucks for delivery to our Publix stores. This includes: loading and unloading trailers, operating a palletizer and tow motor and records inventory paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Additional responsibilities include:
* maintains and cleans equipment in work area
* performs team assignments
* other duties as assigned
* must be at least 18 years old
* willingness to obtain forklift license after training
* willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours
* ability to lift at least 50 pounds or more frequently
* ability to pull 180-200 pounds across a slick surface
* ability to bend, reach, pull, carry, and lift continuously
* willingness to learn and perform a variety of tasks and duties as assigned
* ability to perform steady and productive work for an extended amount of time
* must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
* basic math skills
* excellent communications skills; both verbal and written
* ability to demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
* ability to work well with others and be a team player
