We are looking for a strong Backend Engineer with deep expertise in **Node.js and TypeScript** to build and scale high-performance systems for a product-based environment. The role involves working on core backend architecture, APIs, and scalable services.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design and develop scalable backend systems using **Node.js and TypeScript**
* Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
* Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of applications
* Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams for end-to-end delivery
* Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
* Participate in system design and architecture discussions
* Proficiency in Node.js, and TypeScript, APIs, databases.
* Experience working with and building backend systems that have been used in the real world.
* Ability to navigate different stages of product development -- from scrappy MVPs to scalable
architectures.
**Must-Have Requirements**
* 3--6 years of backend development experience
* Strong hands-on expertise in **Node.js**
* Strong proficiency in **TypeScript**
* Solid understanding of APIs, backend architecture, and system design basics
* Experience working in **product-based companies** (mandatory)
* Good problem-solving skills and understanding of data structures
**Good to Have**
* Experience with **NestJS**
* Exposure to microservices architecture
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
**Candidate Profile**
* Open to **relocation to Mumbai** if currently based elsewhere
* Preference for candidates who have worked across **multiple cities/locations**, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
* Comfortable with **5-day work-from-office setup**
* Strong ownership mindset and ability to work in fast-paced product environments
**Additional Notes**
* Candidates who have spent their entire career in a single city without relocation exposure may not be ideal for this role
* Immediate or Seving to 60-day notice period candidates preferred
