**Position Summary**
Privately held national general contractor is seeking a **Senior Project Manager** to lead large, complex construction projects in the Atlanta market.
This role is responsible for overall project leadership, financial performance, client relationships, and team management from preconstruction through closeout. The Senior Project Manager will serve as the primary owner contact and oversee execution across healthcare, aviation, institutional, public, mission critical, and large commercial sectors.
The position requires strong leadership, business management acumen, and the ability to successfully deliver large-scale projects while mentoring project teams.
**Responsibilities**
• Lead overall project performance including schedule, budget, safety, and quality
• Serve as primary owner contact and maintain strong client relationships
• Oversee preconstruction coordination, subcontractor buyout, and procurement strategy
• Develop project staffing plans and mentor Project Managers and project teams
• Manage job cost setup, forecasting, and overall financial performance
• Lead change management strategy and evaluate cost and schedule impacts
• Partner with field leadership to drive execution, safety, and schedule performance
• Oversee implementation of project execution plans and operational strategy
• Guide project teams through complex problem solving and conflict resolution
• Assist in negotiation and finalization of owner contract agreements
• Ensure company safety, quality, and operational standards are consistently upheld
**Qualifications**
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 12+ years of construction industry experience
• Proven ability to manage large, complex projects exceeding $50M
• Experience leading and mentoring project management teams
• Strong understanding of contracts, budgeting, risk management, and financial controls
• Experience managing owner relationships and project strategy
• Healthcare, aviation, institutional, mission critical, or large commercial experience preferred
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Strong leadership presence and communication skills
