The challenge here is that the buyer wanted to use a time-based automation to handle a process that normally takes a lot of time. Specifically, they want to go to a particular user’s social media on a set schedule—weekly, at least—pull that user’s posts, identify the top performers, and extract information from those posts to create blog articles on their WordPress website. So I created a simple Make automation, and I’m going to walk you through it. Basically, what I used here to get the information from the social media platform is Apify. Apify is very good for web scraping. It’s easy to scrape information from the users I want to target. In this case, I scraped Instagram data from Dana White.
