Contract Duration: 12 Months

**Required Skills & Experience**

* 5 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
* 8 years Java Engineering
* 6 years Angular UI Engineering
* 3 years of REST or SQL Engineering (ideally both)
* Kubernetes/OCP
* 8 years of hands-on experience in Java application development using Java, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, XML, JSON, RESTful APIs, JDBC, JPA, and Unit Testing frameworks.
* 6 years of experience developing responsive and scalable user interfaces using Angular.
* 3 years of experience in SQL Server database development, including query optimization, stored procedures, and data modeling.
* Strong understanding of J2EE architecture, object-oriented design principles, and industry-standard design patterns.
* Proven experience designing, developing, and supporting microservices-based applications.
* Experience implementing and supporting DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
* Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
* Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence for project tracking, documentation, and team collaboration.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to collaborate effectively across development, QA, product, and operations teams.

**Desired Skills & Experience**

* Jira/Confluence
* AI development (Copilot, Devin)
* 1 year of experience leveraging GitHub Copilot, GitHub Copilot Agent, Devin, or other AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, and productivity enhancement.
* Knowledge of application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, or similar platforms.

**What You Will Be Doing**

* Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
* Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
* Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
* Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
