Normandy Remodeling Verified listing

Normandy was responsible for our house catching on fire (they threw a live spotlight into our attic). To compensate, they offered a nights hotel room and a fire extinguisher (my husband used our 3 before the fire department showed up). We were told they do not "normally deal with insurance companies" and were not comfortable with fixing our burned out/water damaged family room and kitchen. In addition, it would take a long time because we would have to get in queue gain because they had so much other business ahead of us. We were obviously not a priority or important to them. We have been living in our basement for a year and a half. Granted it was during a pandemic so didn't move as quickly to fix--but a year and a half living in our basement with three little girls looking for a new architect and construction company to fix the damage. A year and a half and they will not take responsibility for their mistake. Our two year old daughter was sleeping only 5 feet away from the fire until the night before, otherwise I can't even think of the possible outcomes. After the fire, we had to call numerous times to have their subcontractors come back and put in the fire detectors as we promised our daughters they would never have to live in fear again. It makes me so sad to see the emotional damage it has caused our three young daughters. My husband and I dreamt of this addition and saved for 10 years to make it come true and it turned into such a nightmare. We lost so much but are so blessed our family is safe.

My sister used Normandy on a very large entire home remodel and had a very unsatisfactory experience in many aspects of the job. Pricey as well.
