**Examples of Duties** **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
* Safely operates equipment such as trucks with trailers, riding mowers, gang mowers, golf course turf equipment, tractors, loaders, skid steers, push mowers, string trimmers, etc.
* Lift objects above shoulder height up to 50 pounds.
* Performs facilities maintenance such as cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, scraping, painting and sanding.
* Performs vandalism removal on buildings, play equipment, and other areas.
* Performs grounds maintenance such as trash and litter pickup. Replace trash and recycling can liners. Planting/flower bed maintenance, weeding etc.
* Performs playground surface replacement and upkeep.
* Performs athletic field maintenance and operation of associated equipment. (Line Painters, Infield Groomers, etc.)
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
* Assists full-time staff with various projects.
**Typical Qualifications**
* Ability to operate powered riding mowers, push mowers, string trimmers, skid steers, tractors, loaders, and pick-up trucks hauling trailers.
* Ability to withstand a variety of temperature and weather extremes.
* Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and supervisors. Be able to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner.
* Must provide own steel toed shoes.
* Must possess a valid drivers license.
* Must be at least sixteen years of age.
* Ability to work irregular schedules based on project demand and weather.
