We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a key position on Walmart Amends. Amends serves as the platform that powers an experience for the customer to edit their orders after placement. This will serve a multi tenant need and will serve as a platform for multi regions In this role, you will develop highly scalable services to process millions of requests per day and solve complex software engineering problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology.

**Position Summary**

What you'll do...
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems supporting Amends and real-time delivery platforms. Contribute to architecture decisions while delivering high-quality, production-ready code aligned with Walmart Global Tech standards. **What you'll do**

* Design and develop backend services for Amends systems.
* Build and implement pipelines to process real-time delivery data.
* Develop scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Frontend, DevOps, and Data Engineering.
* Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
* Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
* Ensure adherence to engineering best practices and coding standards.

**What you'll bring**

* 10+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems.
* Strong proficiency in **Java** and **Spring Boot**.
* Experience building applications using **microservices architecture**.
* Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases:

* Azure Cosmos DB

* MySQL

* Oracle

* Cassandra
* Experience with distributed search/cache technologies:

* ElasticSearch

* Solr

* MemCache
* Experience with event streaming platforms:

* Kafka

* Kinesis
* Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
