This global, employee-owned design practice---nearly 80 years established and home to more than 500 creative professionals working remotely and across offices in the United States, Europe, and Asia---specializes in destination and hospitality design supported by an integrated, multidisciplinary approach. Its work spans feasibility studies through final detailing, with expertise in hospitality, gaming and entertainment, urban mixed-use development, and high-end residential projects, complemented by an interior design studio. Founded in Hawaii in 1945, the organization continues to embrace values shaped by its origins, emphasizing community, self-reliance, sustainability, and cultural heritage as foundations for long term resilience. Centered on designing environments that honor and enhance their natural context, the team is currently seeking a Business Development Manager for its U.S. locations in Dallas, Tustin, or Los Angeles.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Partner with the business development team to shape and execute strategies aimed at securing new work from priority clients, drawing on CRM data, internal insights, external research, industry platforms, and market intelligence.
* Assist in developing and implementing approaches for strengthening long term relationships with existing clients, including establishing follow up processes to capture key project and client updates at major milestones.
* Conduct targeted research and market analysis to support business development priorities, including insights on prospective clients, stakeholders, regions, industries, sectors, and competitors.
* Collaborate with senior leaders to maintain and enhance client relationship management plans, while tracking action items and progress.
* Maintain and manage priority client lists, ensuring accurate and current information within internal systems, including CRM and ERP, and monitoring business development activity.
* Contribute to the redevelopment of the CRM system, helping design and implement a data driven platform that strengthens cross departmental connectivity, improves workflow efficiency, and supports strategic decision making.
* Oversee preferred supplier and qualification listings to ensure all required registrations are current for upcoming opportunities.
* Prepare and distribute business development reports, ensuring key data points remain accurate and up to date.
* Lead or support internal business development meetings to coordinate and track initiatives across markets, regions, and service lines.
* Research new project opportunities and assist with monitoring pursuit strategies and pipeline status.
* Pre-qualify incoming leads, gathering project details and sharing opportunities appropriately within the organization.
* Maintain consistent communication with target clients to build relationships and follow up on potential work.
* Manage the schedule and strategy for conferences and events, providing both pre-event preparation and post-event analysis.
* Follow up with clients on bid outcomes---both successful and unsuccessful---and share feedback with the business development and leadership teams.
* Support the creation and delivery of presentations, credentials packages, and portfolios for new business pursuits.
* Contribute to the execution of regional and local business development, marketing, and communications activities, ensuring alignment with best practices and quality standards.
* Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop strategic materials and assist with targeted outreach campaigns.

**Skills and Experience:**

* A minimum of eight years of experience in business development or client facing roles within the AEC sector or a similar professional services environment.
* Demonstrated experience managing CRM platforms and handling complex data needs.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, with strong preference for candidates skilled in InDesign.
* A highly motivated, results oriented team contributor who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work across multiple studios or teams.
* Excellent organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage several priorities at once while exercising good judgment and initiative.
* Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently.
* Proven leadership presence, emotional intelligence, and organizational effectiveness.
* Detail driven, with a commitment to exceptional service and professionalism in interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
