An established enterprise organization is seeking a**Network Engineer** to join its Information Technology team. This is a technical lead role within a collaborative team of six, supporting a wide range of critical infrastructure across 100 locations.
This position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale, mission-critical systems while helping guide future technology decisions, including upcoming infrastructure and security initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design, implement, and maintain complex LAN/WAN network environments
* Serve as a technical lead, providing guidance and mentorship to network staff
* Architect and support multi-platform enterprise networks
* Configure and manage network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls
* Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure network security and reliability
* Support and enhance network infrastructure across diverse operational environments
* Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders on projects and upgrades
* Participate in evaluating and selecting future technologies, including firewall solutions
* Maintain documentation, diagrams, and procedural standards
**Technical Environment**
* Cisco-based Layer 2/Layer 3 networking
* BGP routing
* Check Point firewalls
* Primarily on-premise infrastructure with early-stage cloud adoption
* Exposure to future cloud and security architecture decisions

**Requirements**
**Minimum Qualifications**
* Bachelors or Associates Degree
* Experience:4-6 years of professional networking experience
* Strong expertise in LAN/WAN environments
* Proven experience with routing protocols (especially BGP)
* Hands-on experience with VLANs and network architecture
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with Ansible or network automation
* Exposure to Azure cloud networking
* Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, etc.)
