* **Lead and Mentor:** Guide a growing, highly motivated team of junior and mid-level software engineers through hands-on coaching, performance feedback, and structured career development.
* **Establish Process Maturity:** Bring structure, predictability, and standard operating procedures to an evolving, fast-paced startup environment to optimize delivery execution.
* **Partner with Product & Design:** Collaborate closely with cross-functional leadership to define technical scope, project timelines, and platform feature strategies.
* **Drive Architecture & Delivery:** Guide full-stack technical decisions and maintain a high-quality code bar across AWS, TypeScript, and React ecosystems.
* **Scale the Team:** Actively participate in hiring, onboarding, and interviewing to help scale the engineering organization from 37 to 50 members this year.

The Test Lab Engineering Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the testing processes for product validation and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This includes supervising test engineers and technicians while actively participating in hands-on testing activities to guarantee the integrity of the testing environment.
Key responsibilities include leading the Test Lab team, supporting data acquisition and analysis, reviewing Corrective Action Reports, and providing guidance on warranty evaluations and root cause analysis. The manager must also ensure that all testing complies with regulatory codes such as UL, CSA, NEC, and NFPA, thereby safeguarding product quality and safety.
To be successful as a Test Lab Engineering Manager, candidates must possess a blend of technical and managerial skills.
