Responsibilities

* Lead one-on-one and small group training sessions tailored to each client's goals and abilities
* Design personalized fitness plans and adjust them as clients progress
* Build strong, trusting relationships with members that keeps them coming back
* Ensure a safe workout environment by following YMCA and certification guidelines
* Maintain accurate session records and client progress notes
* Collaborate with fellow associates to create a welcoming, supportive wellness area
* Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or incidents to the appropriate supervisor promptly
Qualifications

* Current nationally accredited personal training certification, including but not limited to:
* American Council on Exercise (ACE)
* National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
* American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
* National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
* Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire --- we cover the cost)
* 18 years of age or older
* A genuine passion for helping people of all fitness levels reach their goals
* Strong communication skills and a warm, encouraging coaching style
* Reliable, professional, and a true team player
