We are looking for someone with the ability to cover our facilities in PA.
Responsibilities:
* Performs medical review activities pertaining to utilization review, quality assurance, and medical review of complex medical services, ensuring timely and quality decision making.
* Provides medical expertise in the operation of approved quality improvement and utilization management programs in accordance with regulatory, state, and corporate requirements.
* Work directly with providers to mentor and educate them on our care process and determine what can be done to improve overall care quality
* Participate in various administrative, clinical staff meetings
* Develop and update policies and procedures
* Providing primary care to patients, as a secondary to the in-house provider
* Prescribe medications including narcotics and controlled substances when needed.
* Enhancing cooperation and coordination between Nurses, Physicians and relevant medical departments, to ensure the success of the institution
Requirements:
* Medical degree from accredited program.
* Active NY license to practice in field.
