### Must have:
### - We require a bachelors degree in a related field plus 12 years of relevant experience, including at least 7 years in a management or lead capacity; or a masters degree with 10 years of experience; or a PhD with 7 years of experience; or 20 years of related experience without a degree. - We need deep technical expertise in Salesforce, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce platform architecture, with the ability to define architecture and assess technical tradeoffs. - We prefer broad knowledge of customer engagement technology, including contact center platforms, Salesforce, AI customer engagement tools, and marketing automation. - We look for strong strategic thinking about the future of customer engagement SaaS and how AI is reshaping what vendors provide natively versus what we should build. - We want demonstrated experience leading AI transformation in a CRM or customer engagement platform environment, ideally with Salesforce, AI-assisted development tools, and spec-driven development practices. - We need proven ability to lead platform engineering organizations, build high-performing teams, develop technical leaders, and maintain engineering discipline during change. - We expect advanced capability in analytical thinking, business acumen, requirements analysis, software installation and support, and technology strategy. - We value advanced strengths in partnership-building, stakeholder engagement, team enablement, change leadership, and leading with vision.
Responsibilities:

- We own the technical health, architecture, and AI readiness of our Customer Platforms portfolio, ensuring each platform remains scalable and adaptable. - We serve as the technical authority for Customer Platforms, clearly defining what is possible, what the risks are, and what it will take to deliver across the portfolio. - We maintain a dedicated platform focus rather than sitting on a value stream, partnering with Value Stream Leaders to support end-to-end delivery outcomes. - We directly lead Value Stream Leaders and hold them accountable for cross-platform business results across Lead to Cash. - We drive the AI transformation strategy for Customer Platforms, including adoption of spec-driven development. - We evaluate how AI is changing the customer engagement SaaS landscape and determine what we should build versus what our platforms will provide natively. - We establish and enforce AI-ready engineering standards, including spec-driven development, automated testing, and AI tooling adoption. - We define technology and architecture standards for CRM customization, contact center integration, AI agent deployment, and marketing automation. - We manage strategic vendor relationships, stay current on vendor AI roadmaps, influence product direction where possible, and make build-versus-buy decisions. - We assess and adopt emerging technologies and AI capabilities so we can leverage new platform features quickly. - We develop and retain deep engineering talent and strengthen the leadership pipeline across Customer Platforms. - We set the engineering operating model for delivery, including release cadence, quality gates, automated validation standards, and AI-generated code review practices. - We build long-range platform requirements and technology roadmaps aligned to business strategy, AI priorities, and the vendor landscape. - We perform other duties as needed or required.

We provide leadership for Cox Automotives Customer Platforms portfolio, supporting the technology foundation behind customer engagement, contact center, sales, service, and marketing capabilities. This is a senior platform leadership role focused on technical depth, engineering excellence, and AI readiness rather than direct value stream delivery. We offer a base salary range of $197,600.00 to $329,400.00, with potential eligibility for additional incentive compensation depending on the role and candidate. Eligible employees also receive flexible vacation, seven paid holidays, up to 160 hours of paid wellness time annually, and additional leave options including bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer, military, and parental leave.
