Responsibilities:

- We evaluate requirements, propose solutions, and explore design trade-offs to support engineering designs. - We design algorithms using modern theory and proven methods. - We develop embedded software from prototype algorithms, with supervision as needed. - We analyze designs to verify performance and functionality. - We develop and run software tests to confirm compliance with requirements. - We review results to determine root causes and implement fixes for inefficiencies or defects. - We prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other required documentation. - We communicate with customers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and explain design choices and deliverables. - We drive solutions to complex problems with limited direction and contribute to requirements development and architecture ideation. - We take ownership of a defined portion of the engineering scope. - We identify program- and system-level technical risks and develop mitigation plans. - We mentor less experienced engineers. - We perform other assigned duties as needed.
