**About the Position:**
As a **Registered/Certified Substance Abuse Counselor I,**you will support the community by delivering face-to-face rehabilitative programming services provided in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDT).
What You Will Do:
- ----------------
* Deliver treatment programming services to participants and conduct group and/or individual sessions.
* Effectively implement scheduled program curriculum. Leads and participates in face-to-face group and individual meetings utilizing motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and other therapeutic processes.
* Engage participants daily, reinforce group rules and expectation for participation and completion.
* Works directly with participants to develop and implement treatment/action plans and educate participants about supportive networks as they return to the community.
* Review treatment plans, evaluate and record treatment progress, records visible changes in appearance, behavior and demeanor of program participants.
* Maintains accurate, timely, and confidential participant records. Evaluates and documents the progress of participants assigned to their groups.
* Completes all delivery documentation requirements. Summarizes participants' background, treatment plan, and recovery process outcomes.
* Prepares accurate, concise, informative reports, records and plans that are consistent with Amity standards, and complies with applicable clinical and administrative rules.
* Liaise with transition/reentry staff, plans and prepares transitional documents as directed by CDCR for continued community program activities.
* Works collaboratively with CDCR, DRP, CCHCS and institution staff. Supports and collaborates co-faculty, including but not limited to Supervisors, Directors and Regional Directors.
* Participate in monthly, block, cross-training, curriculum training, technical assistance training, or other training as appropriate.
* Other duties as assigned.
