### Must have:

### - We require a bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related discipline from an accredited university, plus 2 years of experience; a masters degree in a related field with no prior relevant experience; or 6 years of relevant experience in place of a degree - We require a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or above at the time of application, and it must be maintained throughout the contract - We require a current, active in-scope DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application - We look for hands-on experience with software engineering and Java/J2EE, or equivalent object-oriented development experience; C++ exposure is also preferred - We expect familiarity with software engineering practices such as coding standards, automated testing, automated build pipelines, and configuration management - We need strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment - We value understanding of standard systems engineering design artifacts, including use cases and SysML diagrams - We prefer knowledge of Agile development methodologies - We prefer experience building enterprise applications on Linux; Windows experience is also helpful - We prefer knowledge of DevSecOps and/or build management - We prefer familiarity with tools such as Maven, Git/GitHub, Nexus, and Eclipse

- We develop Java software for the Systems Architecture team supporting the Regional Applications group in Huntsville, Alabama - We analyze and support systems software products, including complex issue resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support - We maintain, debug, and configure related software products - We work from specifications to create or update operating system applications - We assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and program documentation - We collaborate with other support groups to resolve issues, establish standards, and improve operating system efficiency - We contribute across multiple phases of software systems programming and may work with limited guidance in some areas
