### - Proven experience as a Director or Vice President in Software Engineering, Architecture, or a similar senior leadership position. - Demonstrated success in leading global, distributed engineering teams. - Extensive knowledge in modern application architectures like APIs, microservices, and data platforms. - Strong practical experience with technologies such as Java, REST APIs, Kafka, MQ messaging systems, Spring, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), and cloud platforms (e.g., Pivotal Cloud Foundry). - Successful record of delivering high-scale, low-latency platforms in critical environments. - Experience managing large, complex initiatives with consistent, timely, and budgeted outcomes. - Profound understanding of SDLC methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, and their effective application. - Expertise in building resilient systems emphasizing security, reliability, testing, and service-oriented design. - Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities to influence various stakeholders. - Strong analytical and decision-making skills in complex and uncertain situations. - Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities:

- Define and implement the engineering vision and strategy for Authorization and Authentication Decisioning. - Direct the execution of complex, cross-functional projects relating to real-time decisioning, rules engines, AI/ML inference, data pipelines, and platform services. - Establish and promote engineering best practices, standards, and frameworks throughout teams. - Maintain platform reliability, performance, scalability, security, and compliance to meet the needs of global, mission-critical systems. - Take ownership of operational excellence, including SLAs, observability, and incident management. - Create, lead, and nurture a high-performing team of engineering managers and senior technical leaders. - Set clear objectives, performance expectations, and career development plans in alignment with our leadership principles. - Act as a multiplier by enhancing impact through leaders, systems, and cultural initiatives. - Balance immediate delivery commitments with the long-term evolution and modernization of the platform. - Advocate for strong engineering judgment, operational discipline, and a customer-focused approach. - Exemplify our leadership behaviors, cultivating a culture of inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
